WikiKalendar Is Coming!

WiKiKalendar is a global calendar system for those users searching for events, for either fun or for professional reasons, and for those looking for a place to freely post events to reach the most amount of people.

A. How does the Calendar work?
B. Why Do I need WikiKalendar?
C. What is a "wiki" website?
D. Won't it be overwhelming to search for events all over the world?
E. Can I use wiKiKalendar on my iPhone™?
F. Can I use wikiKalendar with Outlook™?

A. How does the Calendar work?
1. A user visits the wiKiKalendar website. The user submits his or her zip code to view events in their area.

2. A monthly view calendar is generated with local special events or events generated based on marketing information known about the user or based on the user's personal preferences previously entered when the user registered.

3. The user may register with a login and password. The benefit of registering is that the user may login from anywhere to access their saved calendar settings, and save multiple mini-calendars on the "MyKal" page and "MyKal" tabs on the main calendar page. The minicalendars of MyKal may be easily accessed by the user and may each be turned on or off, as desired.

4. The user may then search for additional events based on event type, location, venue, date, public events, free events, target age range and/or other personal preferences. The user may be as generic or as specific as desired in the search and selects each category that she is interested in. The registered user may save this search in their "MyKal".

5. The user may search through a list of public calendars created by other users or may search through a list of private calendars for events that the user has specifically been invited to.

B. Why Do I need WikiKalendar?
This website was created because it is difficult, at best, to determine what events are taking place locally without searching newspapers, banners, word of mouth, flyers, and multiple web sites. Often, people miss events because they hear about them only afterwards when their friends talk about it on Monday...

C. What is a "wiki" website?
A "wiki" website refers to a collaborative authoring website where users can contribute to the content and feel an ownership of it, and hopefully, protect the site from inappropriate postings.

D. Won't it be overwhelming to search for events all over the world?
WiKiKalendar includes mulitple search filters to minimize the amount of events showing up on the user's calendar to avoid overwhelming the user.

E. Will I be able to use wiKiKalendar on my iPhone™?
Yes. wiKiKalendar has plans to be accessible using all mobile devices. So, wherever you are, you can find events, contact information, and a map to get there.

F. Can I use wikiKalendar with Outlook™?
Using Kalsynch, wiKiKalendar will be able to synchronize with current popular personal calendar applications, such as Outlook(tm) and iCal(tm).
